Text Message Notifications
The district uses text message alerts in the event of a school closing or school emergency. Text messages are also used to provide parents with important information about school events. Text messages will be sent to parents who opt-in to receiving text messages. If you wish to opt-in to receiving text messages from FPS, send a text to the short code 67587 with the letter “Y” or the word “Yes” in the body of the text. After sending, you will receive a response text indicating that you have been registered. 
The message will read: You’re registered 4 SchoolMessenger notifications, Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Msg&data rates may apply. Msg freq varies.
If you sent a text to 67587 and received an error, you may not have short code messaging enabled on your mobile account and may need to contact your phone provider. To update your cell phone number, please contact your child(s) school.
If you wish to opt-out to receiving text messages from FPS, send a text to the short code 67587 with the word “STOP”.
Email Notifications
Email messages will be sent directly to you alerting you of school closings, special events or other news. Our PowerSchool Student Record System uses your contact information within PowerSchool so there is no need to sign up for this service. Please contact your school office to change any contact information needed in PowerSchool.
