Standardized Testing
SAT
The SAT is a globally recognized college admission test. Students scores show colleges what they know and their ability to apply knowledge and skills.
The SAT test will be given to all eleventh grade students during school free of charge as part of required state testing.
The SAT is also offered several times a year for students that would like extra practice, or attempt to improve their score. Students who wish to do this would register themselves for the test retake directly through the College Board website. The SAT is offered at various high schools throughout the local area on designed national test dates. Register for the SAT through College Board.
The College Board has partnered with Khan Academy in order to offer high quality free SAT test prep. Khan Academy is the only company authorized by the College Board to provide official SAT test prep materials, test questions and information regarding the new redesigned SAT. This is a free service available to students. Most FHS students have set up an account in their English or Math Classes. Students can stop by the counseling office if they need help.
