Letters from the Superintendent
October 25, 2022
Dear Fitzgerald Community and Families,
I would like to take this opportunity to say I consider it a true privilege to have been chosen to serve as your new Superintendent of Fitzgerald Schools. I am honored and excited to continue this next chapter of my career with such an outstanding community and the extraordinary staff that bring brilliance to their classroom or work environment each day. The Fitzgerald School District has earned a reputation for providing warm and welcoming environments that establish positive relationships between children, parents, and school staff over the years. As a result, I am both humbled and excited to continue to help our community build upon its past success.
I believe in this community and want to continue to strive for excellence. During the last few years, my family has begun to immerse ourselves into the Fitz community. My two children are enrolled in our district elementaries, where I have seen them grow as leaders and learners. I have also been an active parent in the district for four years, and have enjoyed the opportunity getting to know other parents who want what’s best for their children.
Sixteen years ago, when I started my career in education, I knew that I wanted to commit my life to giving students the very best educational experiences and future possibilities. I take my responsibility to provide a safe, quality and well-rounded education for all students very seriously. As your Superintendent, it is my number one goal to maintain a rigorous educational environment that allows all students to feel a sense of belonging and to grow academically. It is critical that our Fitzgerald School District students graduate from high school with the skills necessary to pursue and achieve their dreams and to be lifelong learners. Educating our youth and preparing them for their futures is the most important mission we have as educators. I commit to lead by example with fairness, transparency, and respect in order to reach this end goal. I look forward to working collaboratively with parents, educators, and the community to ensure high educational outcomes for all students.
With Fitz Pride,
Hollie Stange, Superintendent
Parent Identification
Fitzgerald Public Schools is committed to the safety and security of our students. We continuously review our protocols and procedures and make adjustments in order to provide our students with a safe educational environment to learn and grow.
The district requires any adult that is picking up a student before dismissal to present photo identification upon arrival. In addition, students will only be released to the contacts that have been identified in our student database system, which is called PowerSchool. It is important that you relay this information to the emergency contacts you have provided to your child’s school. If you would like to update your child’s contacts, please contact the building secretary where your child attends.
We appreciate your continued support and cooperation. The safety and security of our students is a top priority.
