The primary purpose of the May 7th bond was to:
- enhance safety and security by remodeling and equipping school buildings, playgrounds, and other facilities (including upgrading security cameras, fire alarms, and security film on windows
- improve energy efficiency with roofing, lighting, and mechanical system replacements
- update and remodel classrooms and school facilities (including Chatterton Middle School’s Planetarium)
- upgrade technology and technology infrastructure
- replace buses as they reach the end of their useful life
